You can now apply online to participate in ALA's 2008 Emerging Leaders program, an initiative aimed at younger librarians who want to get involved with ALA and learn skills that will help them become leaders within the Association, our profession, and their own organizations.

Yahoo Avatars READ!

As recently noted by the Librarian in Black, ALA's Graphics staff is working with Yahoo to provide "READ" t-shirts for Yahoo avatars. LiB provides instructions for how to create an avatar and clothe it in one of these shirts, and you can then use the image anywhere you want (Ning, Facebook, MySpace, etc.).
