ALA TechSource is going to have gaming at our booth at the Annual conference next month (so be sure to stop by and take a break!), but we're trying to decide which games to offer. I know I want to do Guitar Hero (I'll bring 1 and 2), and I'll bring my Nintendo Wii. Should we do DDR again? Would Karaoke Revolution be a draw or would you run screaming?
Suggestions for multiplayer E- or T-rated PlayStation 2 or Wii games welcome!
What about Burnout 3 Takedown? That does 2 player, and it's lots of fun, particularly the crash parts. Burnout Revenge is the new one, but we don't have that.
I don't have Burnout 3, but I will try to rent it for the week. At this point, we're using stuff I own, but it's also a sneaky way for me to get recommendations for good games for myself so I will definitely check it out. ;-)
I'll take on anyone in Backgammon, Checkers, Chess, UNO, Settlers of Cataan -- no reason not to have physical-space strategy games along with the technology-enabled games.

Aaron, normally I would agree with you, and that's why we're having board games at the open gaming night of the TechSource Gaming, Learning, and Libraries Symposium, but I don't think we'll have enough space at the booth to do it easily. For example, I don't think we'll even have a table, but I'll ask because I'd love to try. I can bring UNO! Did you ever play Mille Bornes? I used to love that game when I was a kid, but then maybe that's because it distracted us from having to conjugate verbs in french class. I won't bring chess or backgammon because you'd kick my butt at both, but I've always wanted to try Settlers of Cataan.
What I *really* want to do is play cruel 2 b kind in the convention center. Would others be up for that?
The Old School rules seem to hold some potential for a semi-asynchronous game during the conference -- the live action group-glomming of the current (Booty) version seems a bit unwieldy. I thought about maybe holding it in the Exhibits Hall -- if we could get the Vendors involved as one big group and the non-vendor attendees set up as a another big group, that might be a *lot* of fun.
We could do the time-limited booty version at the Exhibits opening gala, perhaps.
Ooh, I'm thinking this would make a great introducing the library activity, at the start of a semester, too.
I'm del.icio.us'ing this converation... what fun...
